I had a thought whilst I was working on book 4. Sam has said something and is expected to apologise, however, she is not sorry for what she said. She is sorry that the other person was offended. She apologises for the hurt, but the other person refuses to accept the apology because she isn’t sorry for her words. What do you do in this situation, where you haven’t intended to offend the other person and you are sorry for any hurt, but you stand by what you said? Do you apologise for everything, even though you don’t mean all of it, or do you just not apologise. What do you do if you meant what you said?
Sorry, not sorry
