OMG, I’m so excited I can hardly speak. It’s finally happening! I’m getting a cleaner. I’ve wanted a cleaner for so long but could never justify it. Now, after a pretty awful few months where everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, culminating in me breaking my ankle a couple of months ago, I finally am going ahead. I have to say that my house is a mess at the moment, I have been unable to get into the cleaning as usual because of my ankle. The hubby has been good at looking after me and making sure I rest it, but hasn’t been taking on my tasks because he’s busy with his own work. I thought a period of enforced rest would be good for my writing, however, life goes on and I didn’t get that time. An honest evaluation of the mess, my commitments, hubby’s commitments, and renewed demands from me that I am given time to write, not just the odd half hour when I’m knackered, and demands from hubby that we go out for the occasional coffee and bacon sandwich, meant that the only way forward was to bring in a cleaner. I’ve contacted a couple of cleaners so far, but their books are full, so this might take a little longer than I originally thought, but it is happening. Yay!! I might actually get book 4 completed before we go to Alaska.
