Well, what a difference a cleaner makes. My house is clean and I have time for writing again. At last! I have been able to break the 70,000 word limit on book 4 and I’ve rearranged a few things, which I think make it a better piece of work. I severely underestimated how long everything took. I understand now that that, and being incapacitated with a broken ankle, which slowed me considerably, it was little wonder I was getting overwhelmed. Anyway, onward and upwards. I hope to get book four sent off before the end of June.
I spoke too soon. Youngest grandson has chicken pox and so could not go to school. He’s been with us while he recovers. He’s a good lad and no trouble but it’s horrible to see them when they’re not well. Youngest granddaughter was pleased to have him here. She was fascinated by his spots. She’ll probably have some of her own next week. Better to catch it young. I spoke to his teacher and she told me that there were 11 pupils from his class off school with chicken pox. Half the class. I bet she’s doing heel clicks on every corner.
