I hope everyone had a brilliant Christmas and New Year. We had the family around at Christmas and it was manic. New Year was quiet, which was nice after all the activity. It really is a happy new year for me. Despite the freezing weather, here I am, snug and warm in my dining room, signing the contract for the fourth book in the Blue Bird series. Thank you to the fantastic Burning Chair. I think I’ll have to start drafting book 5. I have a few ideas churning around in my head.

Next New Year, I think we might go away. After Christmas, I’ll be looking for luxury and relaxation. I love cruising and New Year aboard a ship sounds wonderful, but I am nervous about the sea state at that time of year. I don’t mind a bit of rock and roll, but at the moment, conditions sound horrendous. I don’t want to spend my holiday in the bathroom praying to the great porcelain god. Maybe we should stay in this country. Perhaps Scotland.

I hope 2025 treats everybody well.
